Yussuf Musa Ayami

A scholar of Al Azhar University, the school of Literature, Department of Translation and Languages, Yussuf M. Ayami is an Alumni of the United States Department of State Exchange Programme. He has also studied Government, Administration and Development from the University of South Africa (UNISA).

Ayami is a seasoned conference interpreter with more than 10 years working experience. During this time, he has serviced meetings at Heads of State and Government, Ministerial, Senior Government Officials and technical levels at national, regional and international levels. Furthermore, Ayami has serviced bilateral and multilateral negotiations for regional and international organisations including the Tripartite Free Trade Area Agreement comprising COMESA, EAC and SADC. Ayami has also serviced meetings for the World Bank, the African Union, AU/ECOSSOC, the United Nations, the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and various agencies affiliated to these organisations.

Apart from Arabic and English, Ayami has a fair command of the Swahili language. He is married and has five children.
