Jila Mweemba

Jila Mweemba is a Conference Interpreter and Translator for French/English and vice versa. With work experience from 2019, she is a dedicated Interpreter as well as an excellent Translator who works diligently with professionalism. An effective communicator with exceptional skills in spoken and written English and French, Jila currently serves as the Secretary General for ZACIT.

A Master Degree holder in Linguistics Science and Translation Studies, Jila Mweemba is also a University Lecturer and Researcher who has been teaching French Linguistics and Translation Studies at the University of Zambia. She also translates official documents for the University. Apart from having experience in simultaneous and consecutive interpretation both in virtual and physical space, Jila is equipped with the current translation tools making her a sought-after Interpreter and Translator.

She has worked as an Interpreter in international agencies such as the Association of Power Utilities of Africa (APUA), International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), International Organisation on Migration (IOM), the Task Force on Global Health to mention but a few.
