Chata lengwe is a highly adept linguist and Spanish language conference interpreter with a very potent command in several languages such as French, Portuguese and other native Zambian languages to add to his linguistic repertoire. He discovered his unmatched passion for languages at a very tender age and this has earned him a vast experience of over 17 years in the language sector working and fostering long term ties with various international organizations. 

Mr Lengwe has worked with organizations such as the United Nations, African Union, UNDP, Africa CDC, European Union, SADC, World Vision, OXFAM, Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA) and so many other reputable international institutions as well as Non-governmental organizations. The services rendered have included simultaneous interpretation, consecutive interpretation, whispering, liaison and document translation for his language pair, English<>Spanish.

Furthermore, Chata Lengwe is office bearer of the Zambia Association of Conference Interpreters and Translators (ZACIT) where he serves as the Co-chair of the Admissions Committee and is the main Spanish language interpreter in the Judiciary of the Republic of Zambia for all court/legal interpretations. He also offers consultancy and instruction to clients from International Schools and the private sector in both English and Spanish language. During his entire professional career, he has been able to handle and execute voluminous document translation projects from various fields successfully by utilizing translation software tools such as TRADOS. Other skills for his language pair include; proofreading, voice-over, editing as well as transcribing.

What drives Chata Lengwe is his passion and will to deliver quality work in order to yield a fruitful output. The client’s satisfaction is always his priority so that any existing language barrier is overcome with immeasurable diligence. Mr. Lengwe is an interpreter who efficiently interprets the spoken word and also has enough proficiency to understand the subtleties and nuances of the language in order to convey the meaning adequately.
